Panruti taluk

Panruti taluk is a taluk of Cuddalore district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The headquarters of the taluk is the town of Panruti.

Population

According to the 2001 census, the taluk of Panruti had a population of 537,027 with 271,906 males and 265,121 females. There were 975 women for every 1000 men. The taluk had a literacy rate of 71.55. The total number of households was 118,185.
